For thou will light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalms 18:28

In spite of our nationality, age, gender, social-status or even our religious beliefs, we can not escape the tragedies of life that often leave us speechless. The hurt and pain we unexpectedly experience, seems to rob us of our ability to verbalize what we are actually feeling or thinking. On the contrary, life also brings us triumphs that are so breath-taking that we find ourselves grasping for ways to communicate our joy and happiness. In both cases, we search for a language that can accomplish this. On this page, you will discover a woman of God, proud mother of five, and a blessed wife, who realized that God had given her that language which required no speech. Patsy Cross-Cole, through revelation of the Holy Spirit, the inspiration of God, and life experiences, was able to empty her thoughts, feelings, and emotions through the writing of poetry. May your life be changed and your walk with God be in step with His Word, as you travel with Patsy on her Life Journey. |

Isn't it amazing how we're able to schedule appointments with everyone except our Creator? Oh! Let me just name a few of those appointments: Medical, Beauty/Barber, Lawyer, Employment Interview, Counselor, PTA Meetings etc. ... I'm quite sure you could assist me in adding to this list. Without a doubt, we make sure we keep these appointments. Why? Because they have become priorities to us. Sadly, we might find a few minutes at the end of our day to spend with God-if that at all. I've been one of those Too-Busy-for-God type of people-of course until I needed Him! But thank God I've learned how to start and finish my day with Him. I want to encourage you to set aside some time alone with God. He longs to fellowship with you. Your days will be brighter and your nights will be sweeter. Trust Him with your time. Afterall, it belongs to Him anyway! He's Waiting for You!

Can We Really Put God in a Box?

Tell the people to build an ark of acacia wood...And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee...And there l will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel. Exodus 25:10-22
"Don't put God in a box!" is a phrase we hear quite often in our "religious circles". As a matter of fact, I've not only been told that statement, I've used it as a word of advice to others. As spiritual as it sounds, we really can't put God in a box. The whole universe would be too small a box to contain God! The Israelites literally thought God could be placed in a box. The sacred chest (ark) was the most important piece of furniture in the sacred tent. It stood for the presence of God, but God was not in the box! The sacred chest only represented God's presence. Take notice that God said He would meet them from between the two cherubims; plainly indicating He was not in the ark. Sometimes we try to put God in self-created boxes. We try to limit His access to our lives. We try to tell Him what He should or shouldn't do in our lives and how He needs to do it. God is just that-GOD! He is ruler of heaven and earth and He will not be controlled or confined. Our attitude is often, "God you just stay in the box and we'll let you know when you can come out. We'll call you when we need you". The interesting truth is we're the ones that really end up in the box. We become confined in our thought life, in our actions, thus preventing us from becoming all He destined us to be. God wants to be in the center of our lives. Allow Him that opportunity. Take yourself out of the box and Go Forth in God! In His Service - Patsy Cole
